KT-6610 is a true 5-diff automatic hematology analyzer. It uses 3 reagents for blood cell differentiation and counting.

Diff lysing solution is added to differentiate 4 types of WBC (Lym, Mon, Neu and Eos), LH lysing solution is used for Bas differentiation and WBC count. In addition, there is a dedicated channel for Bas differentiation. Surrounded by a flowing liquid (Diluent), blood cells pass through the center of the flow cell one by one at high speed.

Three-beam laser scattering contributes to more accurate counting. When passing through the flow cell, blood cells are exposed to the laser beam. The intensity of the scattered light reflects the size of blood cells and intracellular density. An optical detector receives the scattered light signals and converts them into electrical pulses. The pulse data is collected to generate a chart.
